    Guys, can we stop being dicks about North Carolina?
    While it’s homophobic and fucked up that the amendment passed, not everybody in North Carolina is a backwoods redneck, and a lot of people are grieving right now because they can’t marry the love of their life. People worked their asses off to fight this thing, and they deserve recognition. 
    Let’s stop calling out North Carolina as a whole, and put blame on the bigots that are robbing people of civil liberties.  

    It’s always best to blame who is at fault rather than just blanket large geographic areas for something that went awry, no matter how awful or despondent. Also worth mentioning it’s a red state in the bible belt. That really does seem to prevent major social change for the better in most cases.
